25 agosto Lie: " God should fix my problems"We want God to fix all our problems. This way of thinking reduces God to look like a genie or a hired servant. It suggests that the goal in life is to be free from all problems. Everytime something doesnt go our way or when our problems dont just dissolve we think God has forgotten us and He doesnt answer our prayers. But no, God of the Bible is "a very present help in trouble"(Psalm 46:1). That means He has a purpose for our problems He wants to use pressures and problems to mold and shape our lives and to make us like His Son Jesus, who "learned obedience from what He suffered" (Heb.5:8). That is the Truth - and the Truth will set you free.

But Satan places in our minds the idea that God's laws are burdensome, unreasonable and unfair and if we obey Him we will be miserable. The Deceiver's motto is " Have it your way: no one has the right to tell you what you can or cannot do." We are free to choose our own way, but there is one thing we are not free to choose, and that is the consequences. True freedom comes from obedience.
